The maximum temperature remained in 40's for the last five days and has risen from 40.2 degree on 13May to 43.6 degree yesterday. This is the highest temperature of this season and surpassed the earlier high of 42.5 degree, recorded a day earlier. However, in 2022, mercury breached 45 degree mark to settle at 45.6 degree on 16 May. An all time high of 47.2 degree for Delhi was recorded on 29 May 1944.
