“Visited Puducherry chief minister V. Narayanasami to express solidarity with the people of Puducherry. UT status to Delhi and Puducherry is an injustice to their people. Both Delhi and Puducherry are Union territories with special powers and have elected governments, but certain functions, such as law and order, come under the purview of the L-G and the central government. Separately, the AAP on Monday announced that it will launch a campaign to demand full statehood for Delhi in the run-up to the Lok Sabha elections. So, we have decided that we will go to the public on this issue and start a campaign at a bigger level demanding full statehood for Delhi," AAP Delhi chief and cabinet minister Gopal Rai said at a press conference.
