Besides, industry bodies and big corporates are slated to take part in the event being organised by the ministry of consumer affairs. “The department of consumer affairs is organising consumer mela 2016 tomorrow i.e October 20, 2016, at Central Park, Connaught Place, New Delhi,” an official statement read. The objective is to bring consumers, companies, regulators and department of consumer affairs on one platform for consumer awareness and possible grievance redressals. Food and Consumer Affairs Minister Ram Vilas Paswan will launch the consumer awareness week from October 20-27 to be observed throughout the country.
