Principal of a government school has been arrested by anti-corruption branch sleuths for allegedly taking a bribe of Rs 50,000 from a teacher for clearing his salary dues, a senior ACB official said today. Acting on the complaint of Subhash, drawing teacher of Government Boys Senior Secondary School in Old Seemapuri, on December 1, a trap was laid and the accused principal Jitender Kumar was arrested while accepting the bribe, ACB chief Mukesh Meena said. Subhash, in his complaint, alleged that initially, the accused principal had allegedly demanded 20 per cent share of his Advanced Career Promotion (ACP) scheme arrears amounting Rs 50-60 lakh.
