CARY, N.C. — Marky Delgado was set to make his debut for the United States in Tuesday night’s exhibition against Paraguay. Steffen was in goal after making his debut in the second half of January exhibition against Bosnia-Herzegovina. They were surrounded by more experienced outside backs: DeAndre Yedlin on the right and Jorge Villafana on the left. He was joined in the midfield by Darlington Nagbe, Tyler Adams, Delgado and Trapp, who captained the team. Weah is a son of George Weah, Liberia’s president and the 1995 FIFA Player of the Year.
