He said they would stop broadcasting news on Friday but other programmes such as updates on coronavirus crisis and those related to Ramadan would continue. Fuad said they will resume broadcasting news in phases after disinfecting the newsroom when all the workers leave it. A number of journalists of several TV stations and newspapers in Bangladesh, including ATN News, Independent TV, Jamuna TV and daily the Bangladesher Khabor, have contracted the virus, forcing dozens of their colleagues to go into quarantine.
