When Majid Majidi decided to make a film set in India, he decided to take his project to two of the biggest leading actresses in the country. Kangana Ranaut and Deepika Padukone. While Kangana had said no to Majidi long time back, Deepika had even done a few shots as a part of her look test for the project. And here's why Deepika and Kangana decided to reject the film. Both the A-lister actresses thought that the role wasn't meaty enough for them and hence decided to pass it on.
