The Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas (MoPNG) has appointed Deepak Gupta, Director (Projects), GAIL (India) Ltd, as the Chairman and Managing Director (CMD) of the company.According to the regulatory filing, MoPNG has appointed Gupta to the post of CMD with effect from the date of assumption of charge on or after March 1, 2026.He will hold the position till the date of his superannuation on February 28, 2029, or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
