Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) issued a press release announcing the cyclone on Tuesday. It may become more concentrated and move north-west. Boats and trawlers stationed at Chittagong, Mongla and Payra seaport and Cox’s Bazar have been asked to move carefully. Nivar will hit the southern coast of India but could cause rain in the coastal areas of Bangladesh, BMD said.
