Ginbot 7 movement leader essentially campaigned in Debre Berhan for supporting change leaders within the ruling coalitionborkenaOctober 7,2018Ginbot 7 leaders who returned to Ethiopia after several years of exile have been warmly received by Ethiopians in many cities. The latest string of it happened this morning at Debre Berhan town, about 120 kilometers north of Addis Ababa. In the afternoon, leaders of Ginbot 7 movement held town hall meetings with residents of the town. Ginbot 7 was one of the armed opposition movement operating outside of Ethiopia and clandestinely in Ethiopia and the leaders were sentenced to death in absentia. Known formerly for their ardent opposition for TPLF led repressive regime, the leaders are now supportive of change leaders within the ruling coalition and they are openly mobilizing Ethiopians to support leaders like Abiy Ahmed.
