(CNN) The number of people confirmed dead after a multistory residential building collapsed in Istanbul has climbed to 16, Turkish state news agency Anadolu reported Saturday. A drone photo shows the rescue operation underway after the building in an eastern district of Istanbul collapsed Wednesday. Rescuers continue to comb through the wreckage of the building in an eastern suburb of Istanbul, Turkey's biggest city, more than two days after it fell down. A child is carried Thursday from the site of the building collapse after being rescued from the rubble. Thirty residents were inside the building, which contained 14 apartments, when it collapsed Wednesday, Anadolu said.
