BENTONG: In a scene reminiscent of the infamous boxing match between Mike Tyson and Evander Holyfield, a death row inmate grew aggressive and bit off his prison warden's ear. The prisoner then pinned down the warden and bit off his left earlobe before the others managed stop him. It is learnt that the prisoner had earlier refused to be taken to the other block when the prison officer and wardens came to his cell. The wardens proceeded to handcuff the prisoner, which inflamed him and led to his aggression. The prisoner was sentenced to death in 2005 after he was found guilty of drug dealing under Section 39B of the Dangerous Drugs Act.
