NewsPresidential candidate Sajith Premadasa today (Oct 15) said that the death penalty must be imposed on all terrorists, after identifying them using intelligence reports. "The death penalty must not be regulated it must be implemented," the New Democratic Front candidate told a rally in Nittambuwa. "Information must be obtained from individuals in all communities who have a great vision for the country," the Presidential candidate explained. "We will completely defeat terrorism," he stressed adding that no community in the country must be given preferential treatment over another community. Addressing another rally in Ruwanwella, the NDF candidate vowed that he would not interfere with the duties of Field Marshal Sarath Fonseka, whom he said would be the defence minister in his government.
