All my life, the girls that I've liked have not liked me back, anyway, so I don't think my chances are good. My parents are not rich, so I don't think I should ask them to pay for braces for me. As in, "If they say yes, it's because I'm a good person and, if they say no, it's because I suck." A shy young woman feels put on the spot. Keep it friendly, say hi when you see her, but don't ask her out again.
