The last date for submitting entries for a short film competition on differently-abled persons organised by the government has been extended to August 31 from August 8, an official statement said. The Short Film Competition on Divyangjan Sashaktikaran- 2017 is being organised by the Ministry of Social Justice in coolaboration with the Ministry of I&B. Applications have been in three categories -- short documentaries of up to 30 minutes, short films of up to 5 minutes, and TV spots of up to 50 seconds. The competition carries first and second prize of Rs 5,00,000 and Rs 3,00,000 respectively in short documentary and TV Spots categories. The short film category will carry only one prize of Rs 4,00,000 for each scheme.
