KOTA KINABALU: Only 30 per cent of the Bornean Pygmy elephant's body found at Sungai Kinabatangan on Sunday was intact. He added that the 30 per cent was of the front part of the body, from the pelvic up to its tail, skin and front feet. Meanwhile, Kinabatangan District police chief Superintendan Dzulbaharin Ismail said there was no metal found at the carcass. “It is suspected to have died since a week ago and there were cut wounds on its feet. "However, it cannot be confirmed whether it was cut before or after the elephant died," he added.
