Dead Doubtful Sound diver namedSIMON MAUDE/FAIRFAX NZ A helicopter was dispatched from Te Anau to take to 2 patients to Invercargill Hospital on Saturday. Police have named the diver who died at Doubtful Sound on Saturday. He was 54-year-old Ian Gregory Wells, of Roxburgh, who was found unresponsive in the water near Bauza Island. Sergeant Ted Hollebon said police received a report about 1.45pm on Saturday that the diver had been recovered. Nine people - three of whom were diving - were on the boat when the diver got into trouble.
