DeKalb Market Hall Is Opening in Downtown Brooklyn

PhotoDeKalb Market Hall is among the city’s largest food halls. Brightened by neon signage, it is home to more than 40 entrepreneurs selling everything from pickles to pho in about 60,000 square feet of underground space in Downtown Brooklyn. The hall, which opens Friday, also has the first outpost of Katz’s Deli. “The crazy mix you have here reminds me of the Lower East Side.” Foragers Market, based in Dumbo, Brooklyn, will have several stands in the market. A Trader Joe’s market shares the space, and there will be two full-service restaurants: a branch of Han Dynasty, and Fortina for Italian food: DeKalb Market Hall, City Point, 445 Albee Square West (Gold Street), dekalbmarkethall.com.
