DE SOTO, Kan. (KCTV) - The entire City of De Soto has been placed under a boil water advisory after a contractor hit a line that feeds a local water tower. The City of De Soto announced on Friday, Oct. 18, that the local water system has been placed under a boil water advisory, effective immediately. Health officials indicated that the advisory was issued after a contractor who had been installing a gas main along 95th St. hit a 12-inch water main that feeds the water tower on Sunflower Rd. Customers of the water system have been warned to:Flush water lines by letting water run until it clears. Boil water for one minute before drinking or food preparation or use bottled water.
