Dbeibah calls on Italian firms to invest in Libya

Prime Minister, Abdul Hamid Dbeibah, has expressed his desire to reopen the doors of his country to Italian investors and companies. "I would like Italian investors to consider Libya their home, not just an investment partner," Dbeibah said in an interview with the Italian newspaper Corriere della Sera. He indicated that Libya and Italy have a history of cooperation and share a lot in common, "from climate to food." “We will discuss with Italian Prime Minister Mario Draghi cooperation with important Italian firms and means to simplify procedures to allow the companies resume their businesses as early as possible," he added. Dbeibah said he is looking forward to seeing small Italian companies return to Libya and have the Italian Embassy in Libya working at full capacity to help in this process.
