WASHINGTON — The Trump administration is pulling back advertisements that encourage people to sign up for health insurance under former President Barack Obama’s health care law. The ads were to have run in the next few days of the annual open enrollment period, which ends on Tuesday. But President Trump and Republicans in Congress are determined to repeal the law, including provisions that require most Americans to have insurance. “The federal government has spent more than $60 million promoting the open enrollment period,” a spokesman for the Department of Health and Human Services said Thursday. “Having health insurance is still law of the land.
