David Reevely: Patrick Brown’s Tory reconstruction project still faces cracks in the foundation


Party headquarters owes its riding associations money and wants to be let off the hook. Ontario Progressive Conservative leader Patrick Brown is in Ottawa today for some summer door-knocking, putting a brave face on his party’s Eastern Ontario operation. In Eastern Ontario, Progressive Conservatives often haven’t known when Brown was coming to town, they complained in their letter. Brown’s mission is to rebuild the Tories into a fighting force by the 2018 election after 15 years of decline. Riding associations are the backbones of local election campaigns.
