David Chang’s Má Pêche and Danny Meyer’s North End Grill Announce Closings


PhotoMá Pêche, David Chang’s quirky, underground restaurant in the Chambers Hotel in Midtown Manhattan, will end its eight-year run on June 13. And, at the end of the year, Danny Meyer will close North End Grill, a pioneer for fine dining in Battery Park City when it opened in 2012. It is the third time Mr. Meyer’s Union Square Hospitality Group has closed a restaurant, not counting Union Square Cafe, which lost its lease and has reopened in a new location. Until late last year, the North End Grill kitchen was under the direction of the chef Eric Korsh, who left amid allegations of misconduct with staff members. Until North End Grill closes, the executive chef will be Emily Brekke.
