Dave Haywood, who operated the thoroughbred breeding stud farm, Phuttocks End, died suddenly this week. Haywood was a shearing contractor before setting up Phuttocks End at Otautau 16 years ago. Justice Prevails, Natural Destiny and Monza were stallions to stand at the stud. Justice Prevails, the only one of the trio still at the property, is 26 and no longer serving mares.
