JOHOR BARU: Two Datuks were among three people charged with 27 counts of document forgery. Also in the dock was lawyer Danny Loo Kheng Soon, who was charged with conspiring with them. All three accused were said to have forged retraction letters of private caveats on 27 lots of land, located in Plentong. Lee and Chong were charged under Section 468 of the Penal Code for forgery while Loo was charged under Section 109 of the same Act for abetment. At press time, Lee and Chong had posted bail while Loo had yet to fulfil the requirement as his passport was in Penang.
