PUTRAJAYA: A Datuk has been released after spending three days in remand, following allegations that he received kickbacks for arranging projects involving a ministry during the previous administration. The 50-year-old, who had served as a special officer to a Barisan Nasional minister, was released with a RM30,000 bail. Among the projects which the man was said to have helped arrange was the supply of equipment for military aircrafts, believed to be valued around RM1.8mil. He is also believed to have arranged for this particular project to supply equipment to military aircraft sometime in 2017.
