GEORGE TOWN: A prominent property developer and his son, both a Datuk Seri and Datuk respectively, were arrested by the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) for alleged graft involving a land deal. Sources said the Datuk Seri businessman, 74, was arrested at the MACC office here at about 7pm Tuesday. The land scandal is believed to involve the disposal of hundreds of acres of property. A Datuk was arrested by MACC on March 29 in connection with the case. The 70-year-old businessman was remanded pending investigation into alleged abuse of power while he was the head of a foundation here.
