Mambo was asked to step aside from his role as an assistant coach by the President of the Club Dr. Kweku Frimpong after supervising his sides 6-1 humiliating defeat to WAFA at the Red Bull Arena in Sogakope. However, the club sent a query to Mambo asking why he has not resumed his post after he was told to handle the junior side of the club. “Whether I tore the query letter into pieces or not, I replied to them [Ashanti Gold SC management] after receiving it”“They have noticed that the content of my reply is very serious. Should the management dare me, I will reveal all the secret of the club.” he threatened.
