Brighton striker Danny Welbeck has triggered a 12-month option in his contract to extend his deal to the end of next season. There has been uncertainty over Welbeck's future at Brighton given his contract situation, but now the former Manchester United and Arsenal forward is set to stay with the Seagulls next season.
