Daniel Wiffen upping stakes for Irish Open Championships: ‘If I don’t swim fast, I’m not staying in California’

Wiffen has been based at the University of California at Berkeley (UC Berkeley) since last September, training alongside his twin brother Nathan. Before winning Olympic gold in Paris, and bronze in the 1,500m, Wiffen spent five years at Loughborough University. “I’m feeling on form, training has been going well, and hoping for some personal bests,” said Wiffen, already back home in Armagh this week.
