Brenton Schneider told reporters that deputies responded to the complex shortly before 3:30 p.m. and found a man and a woman with gunshot wounds. Deputies carried them to waiting ambulances and began evacuating neighboring apartments. It was unclear whether the dead man was found in the same apartment as the two wounded victims.
