THE Dancesport Council of the Philippines (DSCPI) and Karate Pilipinas Sports Federation Inc. (KPSFI) were recognized as full-fledged National Sports Associations (NSAs) by the Philippine Olympic Committee (POC) during its general assembly held online on Saturday. “I am happy to announce that Karate Pilipinas Sports Federation Inc. is officially a member of the Philippine Olympic Committee. KPSFI is the only karate federation recognized by the World Karate Federation, Asian Karate Federation, South East Asian Karate Federation and the POC,” he stressed. DSCPI President Becky Garcia was promoted from being an associate member to a regular NSA member with voting rights. There are now 40 voting NSA members, eight associate members and four recognized members.
