The rail line on the Staff Road was damaged after the Noakhali Express left Dhaka around 6:30am on Sunday, Kamalapur Station Manager Shitangshu Chakrabarty told bdnews24.com. “Trains are, however, running on the alternative line,” he said. “We are working to repair the line as soon as possible.”Nearly all trains left Kamalapur on time on Sunday morning, the station manager said. The trains carrying the first Eid ul Azha travellers, those who bought advance tickets on Aug 16, left Kamalapur Station on Sunday. Special train services are also planned from Aug 29 to Sept 1 and Sept 3 to Sept 9.
