There are speculations that 15th Dalai Lama may come from Tawang.But China has named a six-year-old boy in Tibet as the reincarnation of the Panchen Lama, widely considered the second-holiest monk in Tibetan Buddhism. He had earlier said that it was not for China to decide who will become his successor. “Nobody knows when and where the next Dalai Lama will reincarnate.”Arunachal Chief Minister Pema Khandu has submitted that the people of the region wish that a Kalachakra Initiation (a Buddhist ritual) by Dalai to be held at Tawang in the coming years.
