Under the Regional Connectivity Scheme (RCS) introduced by the Civil Aviation Ministry, there will be one flight a day to Salem and back, officials said. It will depart from there at 9.10 a.m. and reach Salem at 10 a.m. This apart, there are plans to start services to Vellore, Thanjavur and Neyveli as well. More destinationsThe RCS scheme aims to make flying possible to more destinations across the country at an affordable price; the cap has been set at ₹2,500.
