While organisers across the city kept dahi handi celebrations low-key, there was no dip in the excitement of govindas. Another group, Shiv Sai Govinda mandal from Borivli that made nine tiers last year despite the ban will attempt the feat this time too. Milind Kolwankar, president of the mandal, said, “This year there was no clarity on whether we can hold dahi handi events. This affected their excitement.”“The prize money, too, is dwindled. The prize money needs to be worth the effort,” he said.
