The family tried to call the school, but say that they could not get through for 30 minutes and that no voicemail could be left. Their mind was finally put at ease when they received another message saying the text was a "technical error" and their son was at school. "Ten minutes later, we got another text message to advise he was present. "Of course we were so relieved that he was okay, but why, after my son should have been at school for three hours were we only just notified about the absence through a text message? Why were the reception staff not concerned about my worry and anxiety around what possibly could have happened to my son?
