Ross Springham, 29, was awaiting sentence in Wandsworth jail, south London, after pleading guilty to indecent exposure in connection with the incident. When officers arrived at the scene, Springham legged it and he was filmed being chased past shops and businesses without any clothes on. His death has been referred to the independent Prisons and Probation Ombudsman which investigates fatal incidents in custody. A Prison Service spokesman said: "HMP Wandsworth prisoner Ross Springham died in hospital on March 20.
