Mike McComb made his millions as a mobile phone entrepreneur before eventually selling his company to BT Cellnet in 2000. And from his fortune, the businessman upgraded to a luxury property - featuring a grand, freestanding staircase, eight bedrooms, an astonishing 17 bathrooms and a gym. The mansion was built two years ago and has won awards for its design and creation. Mike, from Formby, Merseyside, will show off his mansion to presenter Adrian Chiles this Friday in new show, Our Coast. Back in Formby, meanwhile, environmental scientist Tara Shine – who tells viewers: “This is a remarkable stretch of coastline” – discusses the threat of coastal erosion.
