DVP, Bayview reopen after flooding closure ahead of expected cold snap

An inflatable dinghy might feel more suited to your morning commute on Friday — but you might need skates on the way home. Flooding left a large stretch of the Don Valley Parkway and Bayview Extension underwater and closed in both directions for much of the night. No major delays have been reported on the TTC or GO Transit despite the wet commute. But buses for students in Durham Region, York Region, and Simcoe County have been cancelled for the day due to the weather. Roughly 200 inbound and outbound flights from Toronto Pearson International Airport have been cancelled so far, according to its website.
