To extend help, Delhi University’s Hansraj College has requested entitled persons to provide them with necessary medical equipment as they have the infrastructure. Principal Rama, in a letter dated May 9, wrote, “We are all going through a bad phase and the pandemic is posing many challenges. The letter has been forwarded to several authorities including the Delhi Lieutenant Governor, Chief Minister, Deputy Chief Minister, Health Minister, State Health Minister, and the District Magistrate. The principal has also extended support to cater as a COVID-19 vaccination centre and as a testing centre with an RT-PCR facility. Over the last few days, the COVID-19 positivity rate in the national capital has declined from 36 per cent to 19 per cent, informed health minister Satyendar Jain on Tuesday, adding that the caseload has dropped to 12,500.
