The BCL leaders and workers threw eggs at Nur when he and over 100 of his supporters went to the hall in procession on Tuesday afternoon. Provost Mahbubul Alam Joarder came to the hall around 6pm and sat at his office with Nur, Akhter Hossain, the DUCSU social services secretary elected from Nur’s panel, and leaders of the hall union and BCL. BCL activists led by SM Hall unit President Tahsan Hossain Russell and General Secretary Mehedi Hasan Taposh confined the protesters to the hall premises when they reached the hall. The hall union’s VP Kamal Hossain and GS Julius Caesar swore at Nur for “entering the hall without permission”, Mamun said. The BCL activists threw eggs at Nur and others at the time, he added.
