There were a few CCTV cameras around the park a few years ago under the control of the city police. The District Tourism Promotion Council (DTPC) has decided to submit a detailed estimate to the Tourism Department for sanctioning a special fund to install Closed Circuit Television (CCTV) cameras at the Sarovaram Biopark. The Collector had then promised prompt action, including the revamp of the facilities and installation of CCTV cameras. The security guards at the park had later complained that they were facing threats from miscreants as the park had no surveillance mechanisms in place. The proposal for CCTV cameras would be submitted as an additional estimate, he added.
