DTI presents plans, legislative agenda to Senate trade panelMANILA – The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) on Tuesday presented to the Senate committee on trade, commerce and entrepreneurship its plans and legislative agenda that would make business climate conducive to both big and small medium enterprises in the country. Zubiri said the Senate committee on trade, commerce and entrepreneurship will also invite other government officials, including Labor Secretary Silvestre Bello, in the next public hearings. In a Senate hearing chaired by Senator Juan Miguel Zubiri, DTI Secretary Ramon Lopez particularly focused on the legislative agenda that would ease the cost of doing business by cutting down red tape in the government. ”We have to help them (DTI). ”With the help of the Senate, we are optimistic we can achieve our goal of improving the investment and business climate in our country,” Lopez said.
