DHAKA, Aug 17, 2023 (BSS) - The Directorate of Secondary and Higher Education(DSHE) has sought comprehensive information about flood-affected educationalinstitutions and students. Due to heavy rains and landslides, floods have occurred in several districtsof Southwestern regions of the country including Chattogram, Bandarban andCox's Bazar. As a result, the Higher Secondary School Certificate (HSC) examination,started today (Thursday), was postponed along with the three-day closure ofeducational institutions in these regions. A notice signed by Lilun Nahar, Assistant Director, Monitoring and EvaluationSection of DSHE, today informed that floods have occurred in different partsof the country due to heavy rainfall. As a result, it has been asked to send overall information of educationalimitation and its student as per attached table to the e-mail([email protected]) of the Monitoring and Evaluation Wing by next 22August, if any educational institution in the district/upazila under thejurisdiction of DSHE is affected by flood.
