ILIGAN CITY, Lanao del Norte, Philippines — The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) warns motorists of an expected heavy traffic buildup along the national highway in Linamon town, Lanao del Norte on Friday, from 9 p.m. to midnight, due to road construction. ADVERTISEMENTVincent Labial, public information officer of the DPWH 2nd Engineering District in Lanao del Norte, said girders for the Magoong Bridge would be launched. The bridge, which is set to be expanded, will remain passable, but there is a need to control the flow of vehicles for safety. “The motoring public is advised to take extra precaution when passing through the bridge due to the presence of heavy equipment and oversized concrete structures,” Labial said. Vehicles going to or coming from either Northern or Western Mindanao will have to pass through the Lanao del Norte highway.
