Starting this week until June, motorists should avoid Edsa from 11 p.m. every Friday until 5 a.m. on Monday as the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) begins the three-month-long rehabilitation of parts of Metro Manila’s busiest thoroughfare. According to Jojo Garcia, acting general manager of the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA), motorists headed for or coming from Quezon City would be affected by the roadworks. He added that the road repairs would be carried out by the DPWH every weekend until June 4. On average, more than 300,000 motorists use Edsa daily.
