DPP appoints team to review file on Kemsa scandal

The Director of Public Prosecutions Noordin Haji (pictured) has appointed a team of senior prosecutors to conduct an independent review of the file on Kemsa graft allegations. The DPP said that his team had been given a fourteen-day period to review the EACC files before further directions are given. The anti-graft agency has been conducting investigations into the multi-billion shilling Covid-19 tender scandal at Kemsa as the public called upon the arrest of the culprits involved. EACC is also investigating the construction of a warehouse by Kemsa at Sh5 billion. EACC had asked the agency's board to take the action and suspend the officials pending the outcomes of the probe.
