DOHA: Indian nationals living outside their country can enjoy visa-free travel to Malaysia now, says Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi (pic). Earlier, he had an audience with the Emir of Qatar Sheikh Tamim Hamad Al-Thani and later with Sheikh Abdullah. Dr Ahmad Zahid said as the chairman of the Cabinet Committee on Tourism, he planned to attract more tourists from Qatar. Besides those involving travel and investment, Dr Ahmad Zahid said several agreements on the exchange of security and defence information, staff and training would be signed. Following Qatar’s selection as host of the FIFA World Cup in 2022, Dr Ahmad Zahid said Malaysian firms could be involved in the supply of goods and equipment.
