KUCHING: Barisan Nasional must change its approach in managing public perception to avoid a repeat of its calamity in the previous two general elections, which saw the ruling coalition lose its two-thirds majority. We admit that Barisan failed to manage public perception in the 12th and 13th general elections. "We must change our approach in managing public perception to ensure a strong victory for the Barisan," he told a press conference at the state police headquarters here on Sunday (March 4). Also present were Sarawak Chief Minister Datuk Patinggi Abang Johari Tun Openg and Local Government and Housing Minister Datuk Dr Sim Kui Hian. He also instructed all Barisan components and Barisan-friendly parties to cooperate and support each other to ensure a strong Barisan victory.
